KEVIN R. ANDERSON

Detective Kevin R. Anderson has been with the Paris Police Department since November 2004 after graduating from the Police Corps Academy in Richmond, Kentucky.  In April 2008 Detective Anderson transferred from Patrol to the Detective Bureau. Detective Anderson is a resident of Paris.

TONY EDMOND ASBURY

Award of Merit Recipient

Lieutenant Tony Edmond Asbury, Jr. has been with the Paris Police Department since November 1999.  Lieutenant Asbury transferred from the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Department before he began his employment with the Paris Police Department.  Lieutenant Asbury received the Award of Merit for demonstrated ability of achievement, performing his duties in a manner that has brought high regard to himself and the Paris Police Department.  Lieutenant Asbury is married with children and resides in Paris.

LISHA C. BARNES

Administrative Assistant, Lisha C. Barnes has been with the Paris Police Department since July 2001 wherein she transferred from the Paris Bourbon County E-911 Telecommunications.  Mrs. Barnes handles the Records Division for the Paris Police Department as well as administrative duties.  Mrs. Barnes is married with children and resides in Paris.

RYAN COLLINS

Patrolman Ryan Collins was hired as a part-time officer in the fall of 2005. While at the Police Academy, a full time position became available, he is a full time officer now. Ryan is a life long resident of Paris-Bourbon County.

BRIAN N. CORNETT

Patrolman Brian N. Cornett is a former Transylvania Public Safety Officer, Lexington, Kentucky.  Patrolman Cornett started in January 2004 as a part-time officer.  Patrolman Cornett graduated the Police Academy in Richmond, Kentucky , April 2005.  Patrolman Cornett was hired as a full-time officer May 2005. Patrolman Cornett is married with children and resides in Richmond.

CHARLES COX

Patrolman Charles Cox joined the Paris Police Department in October 2009.

 

MICHAEL T. DEMPSEY

Lt. Michael T. Dempsey has been with the Paris Police Department since July 2001.  Officer Dempsey transferred from the Bourbon County Sheriff's Department before he began his employment with the Paris Police Department.  Officer Dempsey is married with children and resides in the City of Paris.

RICHARD A. ELKIN

Captain Richard A. Elkin has been with the Paris Police Department since June 2000.   Captain Elkin transferred from the Lexington Police Department and is a graduate of the Criminal Justice Executive Development Program, class 7.  Captain Elkin is married with children and resides in Millersburg.

CHAD FULLER

Detective/Lieutenant Chad Fuller has been with the Paris Police Department since October 1994.  Detective/Lieutenant Fuller is married with children and resides in Paris.  Chad is currently serving our country with the US Army.

CHRIS GRIFFIETH

Patrolman Chris Griffeth joined the Paris Police Department April 2008.

LUKE HUMPHRIES

Officer Luke Humphries joined the Paris Police Department in April 2006. He attended the Department of Criminal Justice Police Academy and graduated in September 2006. Luke is a lifelong resident of Paris.

WILLIAM R. HURST, II

Award of Merit Recipient

Patrolman William R. Hurst, II has been with the Paris Police Department since October 2002.  Officer Hurst received the Award of Merit for demonstrated ability of achievement, performing his duties in a manner that has brought high regard to himself and to the Paris Police Department. Patrolman Hurst is married and resides in Paris.

VICKI JACKSON

Patrolwoman Vicki Jackson joined the Paris Police Department in October 2009.

GENE JONES

Gene is a lifelong resident of Paris.  He started with the Paris Police Department in May 2004.  Gene lives in Paris. He has recently returned from Afghanistan.

CHRISTOPHER W. LIVINGOOD

Medal of Valor Recipient

Officer Christopher W. Livingood has been with the Paris Police Department since May 2000, wherein he transferred from the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office.  Officer Livingood is a patrolman, transferring from the Narcotics Division in 2008. On May 30, 2004 Officer Livingood responded to a call for help on Hutchison Road.  Upon his arrival found a lady stranded on top of her vehicle in floodwaters, with the water rising.  Officer Livingood drove out into the deep floodwaters with his Ford Bronco and pulled the lady through his window and drove out.  Officer Livingood did this without regard for his own well being, going above and beyond the call of duty.  For this we are grateful.  Officer Livingood is married with children and resides in Paris.

JEFFREY L. LIZER

Detective Lieutenant Jeffrey L. Lizer has been with the Paris Police Department since November 1990, serving as a part-time officer prior to that. Detective Lizer was promoted to Lieutenant in February 2008 as Commander of the Detective Bureau and also heads the department’s Crime Scene Investigation Team. Detective Lizer has children and resides in Paris.

BRIAN MACHAL

Brian Machal has been with the Paris Police Department since March 2007. Officer Machal is a December 2004 graduate of D.O.C.J.T. in Richmond, KY. Officer Machal currently resides in Fayette County.

STEVEN MANTLE

Steven Mantle has been with the Paris Police Department since January, 2007.  Officer Mantle graduated the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy in Richmond, in August of 2007.  Officer Mantle resides in Fayette County.

MARK McCLURE

Mark McClure has been with the Paris Police Department since January 2007.  Officer McClure graduated the Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy in Richmond, in August of 2007.  Officer McClure resides in Montgomery County and is married. They are expecting their first child in May.

SHAUN MOORE

Detective Shaun Moore joined the Paris Police Department in February 2008 as a patrolman. He served with the Irvine Police Department before coming to Paris. Detective Moore transferred to the Narcotics Bureau May 2008.

TERRY L. POLLITT

Terry Pollitt has been with the department since July 2002, having retired in 1997 from the City of Paris Fire Department.  Terry served the city for 27 years before retiring and returning to employment.  He currently serves as Safety Officer and until 2007, also served as the Communications Supervisor. Terry is married with children and lives in Paris.

JAMES P. PRIMM

Detective James P. Primm joined the Paris Police Department in September 2000. In 2004 he briefly left the department for the BOP, but shortly returned to Paris and resumed his duties as a Patrolman. In February 2008 he transferred from Patrol to the Detective Bureau where he now serves as Detective and also as one of the firearms instructors for the department, being a firearms instructor since 1993. Detective Primm is married with a set of triplets, 2 girls and a boy, and resides in Lexington.

ROBERT L. PUCKETT

Patrolman Robert L. Puckett has been with the Paris Police Department since November 2003.  Patrolman Puckett is a member of the department’s Special Response Team unit which handles high risk warrants, hostage situations and other high risk cases requiring highly trained personnel as well as the Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

LEROY RICHARDSON

Patrolman Leroy Richardson joined the Paris Police Department in October 2009.

SHAIN STEPHENS

Patrolman Shain Stephens joined the Paris Police Department in December 2007. Officer Stephens is married with children and resides in Harrison County.

JOE STEVENSON

Patrolman Joe Stevenson joined the Paris Police Department in December 2006. Joe is married with children and resides in Paris.

SCOTT TOADVINE

Patrolman Scott Toadvine joined the Paris Police Department in November2009.

MYRON L. THOMAS

Lieutenant Myron L. Thomas is a police officer with the Paris Police Department. Myron was appointed Lieutenant in October 2006. Lt. Thomas is married with children and resides in Paris.

KEVIN SUTTON  

Chief Kevin Sutton was sworn in as Chief of the Paris Police Department by Mayor Michael Thornton on January 26, 2010. Chief Sutton is a retiree of the Lexington Police Department and is a graduate of the DOCJT in Richmond, Ky. He currently resides in Lexington.

BRENT WILSON

Patrolman Brent Wilson joined the Paris Police Department April 2008.
